Interactive environmental education programs are designed to engage Washington youth, ages 3 to 17, in thought-provoking and stimulating activities that focus on exploring, learning about, and improving the urban environment. The Lederer serves as an environmental resource for area youth groups, day care centers, home school students, and classroom groups. It is equipped with a computer lab, weather station, classroom, garden, and animals. Visits may be scheduled weekdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Club Natural Fun and the Lederer Youth Garden are located within the Environmental Education Center at 4801 Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, NE.
